Research was conducted using academic databases (Google Scholar, Andrews University Digital Commons, ERIC), denominational archives (Adventist Archives, ASTR, GC Youth Ministries publications), and grey literature sources (Barna Group, Springtide Research Institute, ministry practitioner publications). Search terms included: "youth conference follow-up," "event-based discipleship outcomes," "post-event spiritual formation," "camp ministry longitudinal," "Adventist youth retention integration," "Valuegenesis discipleship," and "iCOR intergenerational church.".

Sources published since 2000, with preference for post-2018 material. Peer-reviewed academic research prioritised, supplemented by denominational reports with institutional authority and practitioner literature with documented implementation. Sources from multiple Christian traditions included for comparative insight.

Unpublished blog posts without institutional backing, promotional materials without data, and sources making claims without citation.

The analysis employs a three-phase integration model (pre-event, event, post-event) as an organising framework, examining evidence for each phase's contribution to long-term spiritual formation outcomes. Findings are triangulated across academic, denominational, and practitioner sources where possible.

This is a narrative literature review, not a systematic review with PRISMA-compliant methodology. The search was conducted in English only, limiting access to significant Portuguese, Spanish, French, and Korean-language Adventist youth ministry literature. No primary data collection was undertaken.
