## 1. The Scale of the Challenge.

Complete K-12 Adventist education: 98.2% retention rate (joined and remained in church).

No Adventist education: 50.8% retention rate.

Performance gap: 47.4 percentage points.

If Adventist education dramatically improves retention, then Adventist students at secular universities represent a particularly high-risk group requiring intentional support.
